Who we are

This website is run by Excellence Language Academy (ELA), C123/16 Alajo taxi rank, Teacher KOTEI street, Accra, Ghana. For any question about your personal data, write to acaexcellence09@gmail.com.

What we collect

We only collect the information you type into our forms:

• Registration form: last name, first name, email address, phone number, country, chosen course and duration.
• Contact form: name, email address, phone number, reason for contacting us and your message.
• Room reservation form: last name, first name, email address, country, phone number, arrival date, duration, room type and your notes.

How we use it

• To process your registration and send you your student ID and the payment details.
• To answer your messages and room reservation requests.
• To send you a confirmation email for each form you submit.

Where it is kept

Registrations are saved in our database: your student ID, first and last name, email address, phone number, and whether your registration fee has been paid.

The content of every form is also sent by email to the school's inbox and to you. Contact messages and room reservations are not saved in our database.

Services that process your data

• Google (Gmail) sends the emails generated by our forms.
• Google reCAPTCHA protects our forms against spam. It loads with each form and may collect information about your device and browsing, under Google's privacy policy.
• YouTube and Google Maps show the hostel video and the map to the school. They only load if you accept cookies.
• If you contact us on WhatsApp, the conversation is handled by WhatsApp under its own privacy policy.

Cookies

This website sets two cookies of its own, both necessary for it to work: NEXT_LOCALE remembers your language, and ela_consent remembers your cookie choice for 12 months.

YouTube and Google Maps may set their own cookies, so we only load them after you choose "Accept all". You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page.

Your rights

Under Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), you can ask us for access to the personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Send your request to acaexcellence09@gmail.com.
